reasons i love winter, no. 2

dusk.

while leaving the library the other evening i was struck by the color of dusk during the winter. at this time of year i feel like its a little more blue and a little more tranquil than normal. as the sun sets an indigo purple light replaces it, foreshadowing the cold night to come. its chilly but lovely.
